Chrysler Canada today announced its 36th consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth, representing the longest sales streak in the Company’s history. November 2012 sales were 17,013 compared with 16,244 in November, 2011, which represents a 5 per cent increase.

”Consumers continue to see the advantages of our vehicles and powertrains. With annual sales records already topped for our Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler 200 and Fiat 500 we’re having our best start to a sales year in over a decade,” said Dave Buckingham, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Canada. ”Now, with our all-new and highly fuel efficient Dodge Dart growing by double digit percentage gains month over month, we are positioned for further growth.”

Sales Highlights:
Passenger car sales continued their upward trend, with 2,802 cars sold in November 2012, compared with 1,909 sold in the same month, one year ago. Leading the passenger car sales surge for Chrysler Canada was the all new Dodge Dart. The most technologically advanced car in its class continues to generate buzz and excitement with consumers, leading to sales of 824 units for the month. That represents a month over month sales gain of 16 per cent and marks the Dodge Dart’s best sales month since it launched earlier this year. Also continuing to lead the passenger car sales surge was the Chrysler 200, where 832 units were sold in the month of November 2012, compared with 674 sold in November, 2011. This marks a 23 per cent increase and a new November sales record for the Chrysler 200. When combining Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger sales, Chrysler Canada remains the number one seller of mid-size cars in the country. The stylish, fun-to-drive and fuel efficient Fiat 500 also had a stellar month, while setting a November record. With 422 cars reported sold in November 2012, compared with 339 sold in the same month, one year ago, Fiat sales are up 24 percent.

Recently recognized by Kelly Blue Book as among the Top 10 vehicles in resale value, the legendary Jeep Wrangler continues to prove that it can go anywhere and do anything, even when it comes to shattering sales records. November 2012 was no exception with another monthly record on sales of 1,140 units. That represents a 33 per cent increase versus November, 2011. Through the first 11 months of the year, Jeep Wrangler has set an all-new monthly sales record every month and has already shattered the full year sales record set in 2011.

Also on track for an annual sales record is the all-new 2013 Ram truck, which achieves best-in-class horsepower and fuel economy. Through November, there have been 62,647 Ram trucks sold, compared with 58,008 sold in the first 11 months of 2011. This represents an 8 per cent increase.
