Chrysler Group LLC Announces Management Changes

April 12, 2012 , Auburn Hills, Mich. -  Chrysler Group today announced a series of management changes to its senior leadership team.

Dan Knott, after 24 years with the Company, has announced his intention to take a medical retirement. Knott was Senior Vice President, Purchasing and Supplier Quality. Prior to that, Knott played an integral role in the product development of such iconic products as the Viper, Jeep Grand Cherokee and the SRT line up.

“Dan Knott’s leadership has been vital in the effort to revitalize Chrysler by fostering a new culture based on a commitment to meritocracy, excellence and accountability,” said Sergio Marchionne, Chrysler Group LLC Chairman and CEO. “He has done an outstanding job in rehabilitating Chrysler’s relations with suppliers and, in so doing, enhancing our ability to offer more competitive products. I am proud to have worked with Dan in the last three years, during which time he confirmed on every occasion an extreme sense of professionalism and unwavering dedication to the restoration of Chrysler’s credibility. All of us at Chrysler thank him for his many years of dedication to this company and wish him and his family only the best.”

Chrysler Group has named Scott Kunselman Senior Vice President, Purchasing and Supplier Quality. Kunselman was previously Senior Vice President, Engineering. He joined the company in 1985 in Product Engineering as part of the Chrysler Institute of Engineering Program and has held a series of engineering and powertrain positions of increasing responsibility.

In a related move, Mark Chernoby is appointed Senior Vice President, Engineering. Chernoby continues his Fiat-Chrysler Group Executive Council responsibility for Product Portfolio Management and also will continue to serve as Product Committee Coordinator for the NAFTA region. He has been with the Company since 1985 and, since then, has held various positions of increasing responsibility in engineering and powertrain.

All appointments are effective immediately.
