January 18, 2024 NextStar Energy CEO Danies Lee and members of the leadership team welcomed The Honourable Francois-Philippe Champagne today for a tour of the 4.23-million-square-foot battery manufacturing plant construction site. Once complete, NextStar Energy will create more than 2,500 new Canadian jobs, with an annual production capacity of 49.5 gigawatt-hours.

June 2, 2022 Stellantis and LG Energy Solution today announced NextStar Energy Inc. as the official name of its battery joint-venture company. Danies Lee has been appointed CEO of the new company. NextStar Energy will be Canada’s first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant.
